Chris Cagle

This last weekend we got to attend the Chris Cagle concert clear down in Eagle Mountain! It was worth the drive :) We were supposed to go to lagoon that day for Po's work but decided it was wayyyy too hot to be walking around outside all day. Chris Cagle tickets were only $8! so we couldn't pass it up! We went with Brayden and Alex! We love hanging out with them. Before the concert, we decided we would stop by cabelas... I knew po wouldn't come out of that store without a new purchase in hand... he could spend an entire day in there and not even get sick of it! Him and Brayden purchased a brand new giant fishing raft! And also a couple fishing shirts! It should be here in a couple of days.. we can't wait to use it! Here are a few of the instagrams we took. 

The day before the concert we had Po's brother Jordan's graduation from Syracuse high! We all went to Texas Roadhouse to eat before. We had a good time and are so proud of him!

Over Memorial weekend my cute bridesmaids threw me a shower! I had so much fun! and everything was so cute there! And I'm so thankful for all the time and effort and money they put into it! And I'm so glad it was a good turnout!

Last but not least... It was my Clearfield girls' last day of school last Wednesday and they ROCKED their performance at the assembly. I was so proud of them. I sure will miss all the cute ladies leaving for bigger and better things! 

I'm SO happy with my life right now :) and feel so blessed! 

Did I mention i get married in...10 days, 16 hours, 45 minutes, and 48 seconds? well i do! YAY! Can't wait to be Mrs. Pobanz! 

22 days :)

HOLY COW! We get married in....

22 DAYS! 

How crazy is that?! Honestly, I'm at the point where I can't wait for this stress to be over with :) When I was little, I used to think the idea of being a wedding planner would be amazing..... it's not. Haha :) glad i figured that one out before i decided to pursue a career in it! 

Anyways... I haven't blogged in a while. I have been SOOO busy! I found a few minutes of free time today after i got done stuffing 400 envelopes for invitations! (actually, i really should be doing other wedding stuff... but im avoiding it at the moment ha) 

Let's see... I'm trying to think of all the things we have gotten done lately! 

we got our cute groomals taken! I pictured it being so magical and all that jazz... it didn't turn out that way ha. We had them done up at snowbasin. We had planned to change into my dress and his tux in one of the big lodges that they have up there... when we got there, they were all locked! SO... we changed in the parking lot. Yes, out in the open for everyone to see. My mom did her best to try and cover me with a blanket as she was helping me slip the dress over my head, trying not to mess my hair up. Let's just say it wasn't working... so Po had to help her! I was so upset about this :( i wanted to see his "first look" and have the photographer capture that moment of the first time he sees me in my dress, all done up! That didn't happen unfortunately... but what can ya do i guess... OH! did i mention it was 40 degrees and extremely windy?! as you all may know.. wind is not good for pictures! especially for the hair... my hair was flying all over the place after i had just gotten it done... let's just say i was a little frustrated at the whole situation. I also hiked a mountain in my wedding dress and flip flops. it was rough. We were there for three hours and by the last hour i literally could not move my fingers. my skin was turning purple and i had to thaw out in the car before we could take anymore because i was getting to the point of being miserable. Everyone was very helpful tho and put blankets and jackets on me when pictures weren't being taken and po kept giving me bear hugs which helped a ton! I'll be done complaining now....

I also had two bridal showers! One thrown by my sister in law, KayLee for my side of the family... and one thrown by my two aunt (in laws?) to be :) for his side of the family! I got sooooo much stuff! and i love it all ! I'm so grateful for good family and friends that spoil us during this time! we are really blessed :) I have my last bridal shower coming up this saturday that my friends are throwing for me and I can't wait! 

hmmmm.... oh! we went fishing last sunday :) with our favorite cousins brayden and alex! It was a much needed day of relaxation... even tho after four hours of being there we went home with no fish! dang it! Po and brayden both caught one but they got away! 

I have most of the wedding stuff done! The only things i have left to do are make a few cute signs, finish our wedding playlist, get the ring ceremony together, and send out invites (this weekend)! 

We get our endowments together on June 9th! Cant wait :) 

Lately

I haven't blogged in a while! I've been pretty busy these last few weeks! School is FINALLY over! Which feels amazing. Every time I am at home, I feel like I need to be studying though. I graduated with my associates degree in health science from Weber State. And now I get to play the waiting game until I get accepted into the nursing program. I wish it wasn't so dang competitive! Today is Po's last day of school, so that will be a big relief for him! Although I have been working more, we have been able to spend a lot more time together than usual. So that's great! 

Weber State's cheerleading tryouts happened last weekend and guess what! I didn't go! Hahaha I have cheered for 9 years now and it was definitely just time for me to be done. My body wouldn't of been able to handle another year of that anyways. It's time to retire the uniform. And it worked out perfectly since I am getting married in..... get ready for it.... 45 DAYS! Which is sooo crazy to me! But I am SO excited :) 

Did I mention we are USA 2012 National champs?!

I thought that I would really enjoy planning a wedding... but i don't... haha! It is so stressful and it feels like it is never ending! There is always something I have to get done for it. And it is NOT CHEAP, people!  My wedding dress came in today and I can't wait to go try it on!!! Our honeymoon is booked and we are going to San Diego, CA. We couldn't be more excited about it! We have already purchased our tickets to sea world & the San Diego Zoo. 

Last week we had our engagement pictures taken and next week we get our groomals done! They turned out amazing (from what I have seen so far) :)

Po's best friend Luke came home from his mission last week also! It's so fun to see him get so excited about it! 

This weekend we were able to go to the AMA Supercross with a few of our friends! Brayden, Alex, Clint, Kenzie, and Luke! We also saw my bestie michele there :) The boys LOVE going to those things. 

By far the best thing that has happened in the last few weeks, happened yesterday. Po and I were able to receive our patriarichal blessings TOGETHER. It was by far, thee most amazing experience of our lives so far. The spirit was so strong and there was not a dry eye in the room. I'm so grateful that we got to experience that together and it makes me that much more excited to spend eternity with him :) These next 45 days are going to flyyyyy byyyy.... YAY! :)

My birthday!

I turned 21 yesterday :) yes, I'm an April fools baby. Haha people usually ask if I get a lot of pranks pulled on me but honestly I don't think I ever have! Thank goodness :) ha we celebrated all weekend! On Friday night me and Po went out to eat and to Syracuse fun center for some laser tag with a bunch of our friends! Saturday i went over to po's in the morning to make breakfast and watch general conference! That night we went to sushi and went to the hunger games with my family! Sunday I slept in, ate breakfast and did nothing most of the day :) then Po and I went to his parents house for gifts and dessert. His parents always spoil me!! Then we came back to my parents house and had a yummy sunday dinner and some delish red velvet cake!! It was a great weekend! And was much needed :) my mommy even gave me $100 to tai pan to buy new decorations for our house! Can't wait to spend it :) only three more weeks of school left...... Ugh! Stressed?...... yes.

Only 26 more days until school is out! Seriously it could not be going by any slower. Planning a wedding, working two jobs, going to school full time, and cheering is EXHAUSTING. In every single class I have a big term project, or a big paper to write, or a hundred more tests and quizzes before the semester ends. 26 days may not seem like that long to you... but it is feeling like eternity for me! Our wedding is now 2 months, 20 days, 16 hours, and 43 minutes away.... but who is counting :) haha! I feel like as soon as school is out, I will have wayyy more time to get all the details worked out, but im so excited to do them and I can't seem to focus on studying for more than 20 minutes at a time. (I'm supposed to be studying for patho right now ..... :) ) HA! We have gotten most of the big things out of the way: dress, tuxes, bridesmaids dress, flowers, photographer, videographer, location, main decorations... the only things we have left are cake, and the little details! Also, for those of you who don't know, po bought a house back in December! It's such a cute little first home :) and i am so excited to live there! Every time i go over there i get a cute idea and i wish i had time to actually do all my ideas!!! (and money) hahaha. I know I just need to be patient but seriously that is SO hard for me. Also, i realized i need to take more pictures of all the fun things we do to put on this blog.... i'll work on that!

Wedding dress shopping!

All last weekend (Saturday and Monday) I went dress shopping with my mom, soon to be mother in law, my best friends, and sister in law! Word of advice for people that aren't married yet, when you go dress shopping one day... DO NOT GO TO MORE THAN TWO PLACES! Seriously, that was a big mistake on my part. I tried on wayyyy too many dresses and became very confused and overwhelmed with what i wanted! We went to gateway bridal first that had AMAZING dresses, then we went to Bridal Image, then the Gallery by Lynette (winner!) and then Kathleen's. I ended up buying my dress at the Gallery. This place is like the Utah version of Kleinfeld's on the show "say yes to the dress". I ended up choosing the dress that had literally everything that i wanted and could not be happier! It should be here April 23rd and i cannot wait! Thank you to all the important ladies that came with me! Couldn't have done it without you :) While dress shopping we also met with my decorator! I'm so excited for the things we have planned! Also we booked my videographer yesterday... (Lillie and Grace) and we got a great deal! Next thing to do.... find tuxes and bridesmaid dresses!

We are.....

ENGAGED! 

Yes we are :) This has been a long time coming and we are SO excited. I decided that I wanted to start a blog so I can look back in a few years and remember everything that I did during this special time! 

I will tell the story of our engagement....

OK so it starts off.... we went ring shopping about two weeks ago. We designed the ring at schubach jewelers in layton. Po had the jeweler tell me that the ring was going to take four to six weeks to be made because they had to send the design to New York to be worked on. Of course, me being so gullible I believed it. And I was SO bummed! Six weeks was a long time! That whole week Po had been bugging me about going on a date with his cousins! I didn't think I could go because I usually have a patient that I see on Friday nights around 8. On Tuesday last week, that patient called and canceled for Friday night! I was so excited because we LOVE going on dates with his cousins (brayden and alex). So Friday comes along and we are getting ready to drive to Salt Lake. We were going to meet up with Brayden and Alex at California Pizza Kitchen (my fave!) Po told me earlier that Brayden couldn't get off work early enough to eat by seven so he asked if I wanted to go walk around temple square for a little bit. I was kind of confused by this because it wasn't Christmas time... and it is not like him to just want to go walk around the temple! But I thought it was a cute idea of him to come up with so i agreed! As we were walking Po started acting really weird!! It was FREEZING outside so i was wanting to get out of there fast! (As much as I love the temple, my hands were purple and I was ready to go!) We walked to the front of the temple and stopped where the reflection water feature is. We were just hugging and talking to each other for a while. We told each other we were so excited to get married there and saying how pretty it looked at night all lit up. He turned and looked at me and said... "Do you love me?" I said OF COURSE! And he said I love you too. (p.s. he said this so awkwardly... and it made me laugh!) He gave me "the look" and that's when I knew it was going to happen! He said I need to ask you something... I screamed! Hahaha I just remember laughing SO hard! He got down on his knee and all i could say was "IT HAS NOT BEEN SIX WEEKS YET!!!!" We were laughing so hard and he opened the ring, it was upside down! so funny! he stood up and I was like... wait... you didn't even ask me!!! Ha he got down on his knee again and asked me to marry him! Of course i said yes and gave him a huge hug and kiss! I saw a flash and turned around.. his whole family (including brayden and alex) were standing there taking pictures!!  I absolutely loved it and was surprised! It was a very special night and had nothing but smiles! I later found out my patient was covered for me by my bestie! 

I really am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life :) I could not be happier right now! (well... maybe if school was out.... :) We are getting married on June 15, 2012 and we are soooo excited!
